Tathra Hotel Monthly News Letter - december 2025
SUMMER IS HERE!
The last month of the year is upon us. Seasons greetings to all our guests and patrons. The hotel will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
THEATRE
Final Inspection | January Events
The theatre is finished and we have a final inspection soon, hopefully followed by an occupation certificate. We are planning a series of mostly family friendly events in January - music, film, magic shows. We will let you know when tickets go on sale.
KITCHEN
Summer Menu | Christmas Roast
Tibin and his team are preparing for the busy summer season. The menu will feature some seasonal dishes and compacted a bit to cope better with the summer crowds. On Sunday December 21 and Wednesday December 24 there will be a Christmas themed roast.
BREWERY
Simon has another canning run organised for December 2. They will be canning Pale Ale, Hazy Pale and IPA which will be available at the hotel as well as selected bottleshops and restaurants. The Ginger (Wh)Ale is back on tap for Summer and they are also working on a dry hopped Hefewiezen to take over from the darker Dunkle Hefeweizen.
LIVE MUSIC & EVENTS
Music | Circus Workshops
Live music will continue to be 4-7pm through the warmer months. This month we have some old favourites returning.
December 7: Guitarama - Dave Crowden returns with his talented guitarists.
December 14: Malumba - Tathra's favourite band
December 21: Pepper 'n Davies
December 30: Jazz Alley
December 31: Jazz Alley 5pm - 8pm
The sessions will be on again this month - Friday December 5 (fast session) and December 19 (slow session). The guitar sing a long will be on Thursday December 11.
There is now a piano in the bar and is not there just for hired musicians - if anyone feels like playing ask the bar staff for a key.
From December 28 to 31 Jesse Holden will be back with his circus workshops from 5pm. Great for adults and children!

We now have 24 rooms available - 14 HOTEL ROOMS (HERITAGE ROOMS/SUITES in the heritage section above the bar and OCEANFRONT ROOMS on the oceanside of the hotel)or 10 MOTEL UNITS.
