Tathra Hotel Monthly News Letter - November 2025
WELCOME TO NOVEMBER!
Last week marked ten years since we took over the hotel in 2015. We started working with our architects and builders in our first week and are very pleased to see the hotel renovation just about finished. We never imagined we would host a writers' festival and it was terrific to see the event so well attended. For those of you looking for a gambling free environment on Melbourne Cup Day the hotel will again be saying "Nup to the Cup".
THEATRE
Theatre inside
The builders only have a few jobs to finish things off, Karl has done the landscaping and John McVeity is now installing the sound and lighting equipment which is no small job. The space looks terrific and we are sure it will be a great community facility for many years.
KITCHEN
Nup to the Cup
Tibin and his team are prepring for th busy summer season and have a few special events for November:
Tuesday November 4: "Nup to the Cup" - Enjoy a special seafood platter with dessert, plus a complimentary glass of beer or champagne available lunch and dinner.
Wednesday November 19: two special curries on offer, including vegetarian - lunch and dinner
Wednesday November 26 - schnitzel specials available lunch and dinner
And every Wednesday SCONES will be available all day for just $4. PIZZA is available on Sundays from 12 - 5pm. The popular Sunday ROAST will continue.
LIVE MUSIC & EVENTS
Live music will continue to be 4-7pm through the warmer months. This month we have some old favourites returning.
November 1 and 2: The Water Runners - a very energetic band on tour.
November 9: Matt Preo
November 16: Hitch Up the Pony
November 23: Felicity Dowd - welcome back!
November 30: ChangoTRee
The sessions will be on again this month - Friday November 7 (fast session) and November 21 (slow session). The guitar sing a long will be on Thursday November 13.
BREWERY
Have you tried Blonde Abbey Ale?
Simon is preparing for their next canning run in early December. The strong Belgian style Ale (Balaena Blonde Abbey Ale) is now on tap and the Ginger beer should be returning soon.
ACCOMMODATION
We now have 24 rooms available. You can choose 14 hotel rooms - HERITAGE ROOMS/SUITES in the heritage section above the bar and OCEANFRONT ROOMS on the oceanside of the hotelor 10 MOTEL UNITS.
