The Sugarants play original music with a Talking Heads-y, Beatle-y, Crowded House-esque, Tom Petty-ish, Fleetwood Mac-like twist that sounds unlike anything you’ve ever heard except for the aforementioned bands. Made up of (and yet actually existing with) Jamie Forbes on guitar and vocals, Nick Keeling on keys and vocals, Dean Grey on lead guitar and vocals, Steve Fitzgerald on drums and counting, and John McVeity on bass and encouragement — often joined on backing vocals by talented newcomers Skye Altmann and Becky Lupton — The Sugarants are a pack of Good Time Charlies who’ll have you nodding thoughtfully, sipping smilingly, dancing admirably and humming annoyingly.

They’re thinking of making a record some time in the near future.

It will be a good record and a happy record and a fun record, just like The Sugarants themselves.
