Lionel and the gang return for two gigs at the Tathra Hotel with their shamelessly retro 1960s influenced sound. A bit of Ray Charles, a bit of Sergio Mendez, Georgie Fame, some Beatles, some Kinks, some Bacharach – all given the Agenda treatment – plus a heap of Lionel originals. Plenty of Latin vibes and happy swingin’ grooves.

The line-up features Lionel Robinson form Sydney’s Northern Beaches on keyboards and vocals: a man with a career that stretches back to London in the 1970s, encompassing a million piano bars, ballrooms, theatres and concert halls… and continues with undiminished enthusiasm.

Down from Narooma, Casey Greene plays tenor saxophone and flute like a master. He has played musicals – Les Mis, Cats, Chicago, West Side Story – fronts his own bands, played with Olivia Newton-John and even Ray Charles himself. In short Lionel is lucky to have him.

He’s also lucky to have Marty Jones on drums. A refreshingly innovative and empathic musician, Marty also has the most creative facial expressions imaginable. Well-loved on the Canberra music circuit, he has been lured to Tathra for the weekend with promises of fine beer.

The trio love nothing better than to play together and entertain you. The setlist is never planned. The possibilities are endless, spontaneity abounds. Not to be missed!
