 PETER HOWE  A SONGWRITER’S LIFE

Peter Howe is a consummate storyteller and songwriter, with a young heart, old soul and sparkling eyes. There’s a generosity to his performance as he humbly and inadvertently imparts wisdom through his stories and the questions they raise. His songs and stories shimmer with love, care, spirit, adventure, landscapes and community.

In three hours of stories and songs, Pete will share tall tales and true of his life as a musician, from the intimate teenage moment when a girl called Roxy played him a Spanish guitar, to his wild days playing rock in Western NSW, his writing and recording for the iconic 70’s surf movie MORNING OF THE EARTH, and his adventures as a performer over the past 50 years.

He will be joined by Dr Tim Gaze, guitar poet from Brisbane who also wrote for MORNING OF THE EARTH. Tim has played lead guitar for Tamam Shud, the Bushwackers, Jimmy Barnes, Russell Morris, Khavas Jute, Ariel, Rose Tattoo, John Paul Young, Gyan, Corinne Gibbons…the list is almost endless.

Wait, there’s more. Be prepared for possible guest appearances from Pete’s descendants!
