Award winning singer/songwriter MATT PREO was born in Bega Valley in 1975.

Matt plays folk, country and originals and has written over 350 songs in his 38 year career.

At the age of 12 and struggling with the many challenges of being born prematurely, Matt wrote his first song “I’m Just Me” and two years later learned to play guitar. He released 3 albums and a single.

His songs seemingly come from nowhere and with ease, and are a product of Matt’s observations of friends & family, life experience, and the country he loves.

Matt plays acoustic guitar, mandolin and harmonica, and loves entertaining the crowds with his weekly busking sessions on Bega’s main street outside the Commonwealth Bank with trusty guide dog “Walt” by his side.
