Live Music with ' The Lionel Robinson Agenda ' at the Tathra Hotel.
Sun 21st July 3:30 - 6:30pm
Free admission.
Sydney-based singer / songwriter / pianist Lionel Robinson comes from London, UK, where he claims to have played most of the venues from Ronnie Scott’s to the Hammersmith Odeon. During a forty year career that shows no sign of slowing down, he has enjoyed exploring the many possibilities of music, clothing and hairstyles – from resident pianist in Elton John’s Covent Garden restaurant to supporting Judas Priest on the Killing Machine tour, to singing Sinatra songs in front of a 20 piece big band!
Lionel’s trio presents a fun 1960s sound that combines elements of Latin lounge, blues, pop and accessible jazz. You’ll find original songs alongside the works of influences like Ray Charles, Georgie Fame, Tom Jobim, Beatles, Burt Bacharach…
Lionel’s piano & vocals will be augmented by the awesome talents of Narooma’s Casey Greene on flute & saxes, plus Queanbeyan’s Marty Jones on drums & percussion - both a joy to work with and listen to. Between them they have performed at festivals and venues from Cairns to Thredbo. Expect to be entertained!
