Surg is a local band comprising Matthew Nott, Chris Korvin, Kassowary, Ken Kemister, Peter Veliks and Lisa Herbert.

For this show they have created a sonic journey through the last 3 decades of Nick Cave’s songwriting, including his beautiful songs, movie soundtracks, and they include some of Warren Ellis’s violin pieces from Dirty Three days and recent Grinderman

They intersperse the music with words from Cave’s letters to fans, lyrics, movie scripts and Greek and French poetry, as would any St Kilda punk fop.
