Anton Wurzer started playing the piano accordion at the age of 11 and his first professional engagement was at age 15 playing Continental, Latin American and Classical music. Jazz became his main interest in the early 1990’s which saw him complete a Degree in Jazz Piano Studies at the Canberra School of Music.
In 2000 the cd “Those Were the Days” was recorded featuring violin, accordion and double bass. Another two recordings followed; “Live for Life” (2006) a cd featuring accordion and clarinet presenting French musettes, tangos, javas, sambas and also Anton’s composition “Move Tango”.
His latest recording “Primitus” (2014) is a solo cd of classical evergreens and displays Anton’s unique interpretations on thirteen classical masterpieces. His solo accordion compositions have been well received by audiences. See website antonwurzer.com for more information.
