Robyn grew up in the remote desert coastal town of Ceduna SA. As the third child in a busy farming family, the record player was broken by the time she joined the family. Her early music exposure was through sing alongs on long road trips (its a long way to anywhere from Ceduna) and a few dusty Slim Dusty cassettes that kicked around the dusty dash of the landcruiser ute. At the age of 13, her eldest sister Jodi Martin (awesome singer-songwriter- check her out) established the family band Spineffex with Robyn recruited on bass guitar. The band toured pubs, clubs and country music festivals with their Dad - Spin- on sound (inspite of severe industrial deafness) and fearless mother - Colleen - in the brave role of tour manager.

Since then, Robyn has completed a Bachelor of Contemporary Music and can often be seen playing bass in lots of different bands on the south coast and beyond. Now with a cracker band behind her she presents her own original songs. David Ross MacDonald on drums, Sam Martin on bass and Nick Keeling on banjo and keys.

For this show Robyn will bring special guests, Djinama Yilaga. Djinama Yilaga are a recently formed choir based in Tilba NSW. Spearheaded by artist Cheryl Davison, who is responsible for the Sydney Swans jersey design, the group have been reclaiming language. Working with Dr Lou Bennett of the band Tiddas, they have composed original songs in the local Dhurga language.
