Over the three evenings of the Four Winds Festival in Bermagui at Easter, Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th April, the Sound Shell and amphitheatre will be the setting for a wonderful rendition of Homer’s famous, ageless and epic tale ‘The Iliad’, in William Zappa’s ‘The Iliad (Out Loud)’.

As friends, south coast neighbours and colleagues, Lindy Hume (Four Winds Artistic and Festival Director) and William Zappa have a lot in common, including their love of storytelling.

As Lindy says "This is such a powerful story and Zappa tells it wonderfully. He is such an extraordinary narrator and actor, that he sweeps us into this incredible landscape of war, love, power-games and flawed humanity in a way that has you hanging on every word.

In this preview discussion, William and Lindy will discuss this theatrical treatment of the work, you will hear the inside story of the creative process before being treated to Zappa reading some juicy excerpts of The Iliad (Out Loud).
