Malumba are based on the far south coast of New South Wales, Australia. The group plays original instrumental music that weaves together the sounds of many cultures and styles. Drawing from influences as diverse as Celtic, Flamencan, African, Middle Eastern, Caribbean, and Latin, Malumba's music is as varied as the Australian multiculture.

Since forming in 1998, Malumba have independently released 4 full length albums, Where Many Paths Meet, Interwoven, Patterns of Change, and The Flow.
