WELCOME TO APRIL

We hope you are all enjoying the glorious Autumn weather. Easter has been very busy again and we are looking forward to welcoming good numbers of tourists until the end of the month. Karl, our landscaper, has recently completed work around the Eastern carpark including some bike racks.

KITCHEN

The new Autumn menu has been well received and the kitchen team have been pumping out plenty of meals in good time. Pizzas will be available from 11.30am - 5pm most days through to the end of school holidays. Breakfast is starting to get more popular so best to book if you have larger numbers. The hotel will again be providing complimentary breakfast after the Anzac Day 8am service.

BUILDING WORKS
Building the Theatre

Theatre constrcution is proceeding well. Footings were done a couple of weeks ago and the concrete slab should be poured soon. We are hoping it might all be finished later this year and are starting to think about programming for next year.

BREWERY
The beers on the rotational taps have been very popular this summer, particularly the Hazy Pale Ale. There is also an XPL on tap - a floral lager style beer brewed with some wheat and oats. Simon is currently looking for a brewery assistant - a fit young person with an interest in brewing who doesn't mind a bit of solid manual work.

LIVE MUSIC & EVENTS

After daylight saving LIVE MUSIC will be 3.30pm - 6.30pm. Performances will be on Saturdays and Sundays until late April. We have a special Headland Writer event on April 20 with Jim Moginie of Midnight Oil fame. Jim will be interviewed by Josh Becker about his new book "The Silver River". Our much loved sound person, Phil Moriarty is having some health issues and will be away for the next month or so - we all wish him a speedy recovery.

Saturday April 6 - Jackson State 4 - 7pm
Sunday April 7 - Malumba - a Tathra favourite 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Saturday April 13 - Pepper and Davies
Sunday April 14 - Andrew Gray returns with his Go Betweens show 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Saturday April 20 - Jim Moginie book event (Register here) 3pm; Jim will also sing a couple of songs - followed by Jan Preston on tour 4.30pm - 6.30pm
Sunday April 21 - Jan Preston 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Sunday April 28 - Michael Menager trio - 3.30pm - 6.30pm

The popular SESSION will be on April 5 from 6pm(fast session) and April 25, Anzac Day from 4pm(slow session). Following a successful evening in March a new guitar based sing a long kick off on Thursday April 11 and then the second Thursday of each month from 5.30pm.
